Design and Renovation Case Study: Pretty In Pink
September 15, 2025
This Toronto condo was a first real estate purchase for a young professional. The finishes were dated and the existing plan did not allow for the function our client was seeking.
Some things on her wish list were:
Make the kitchen more functional with additional storage and update the finishes overall.
Update both bathrooms.
Create a cohesive design that was timeless but infused with her personality.
We started by unifying the flooring throughout with a timeless midtone luxury vinyl plank. In the kitchen, though we opted to keep the basic layout, new custom cabinets including a built-in banquette with storage allows more space for entertaining as well as necessary additional kitchen storage. Opposite the kitchen we added more cabinetry and created a work from home space.
Our client’s favourite colour is pink so there is a subtle thread of pink throughout the condo. The art collection in the dining area tells a story of her travels.
In the primary bedroom and ensuite, we committed fully to the colour that brings her joy. We colour drenched the bedroom to mask the bulkheads and carried the same pink onto the bathroom vanity.
The end result is a calm, timeless condo infused with our client’s personality.
