Kingsway Timeless

Toronto

A Toronto condominium where thoughtful investments made a decade ago still anchor the room today — proof that good decorating is never just for the moment.

Timeline

Two phases: 2013 & 2025

Across the room, a high-back chair with matching ottoman was positioned to do one thing well: enjoy the treetop view. It is the kind of decision that sounds simple but requires careful space planning — the angle of the chair, the relationship to the window, the way light falls across the fabric at different hours. This is what we mean when we say we design spaces that feel like you.

The flooring was the largest single change. The dated cherry hardwood was replaced throughout with a gorgeous mid-tone oak — warmer, more contemporary, and a foundation that ties every room together. In the kitchen, a new faucet, custom counter stools, and playful drapery gave a space that was already well-appointed a fresh lift without starting over.

Some homes earn their story over time. Kingsway Timeless is one of them.

When we first met these clients in 2013, they were still deep in their careers — busy, accomplished, and ready to invest in their condominium but not yet ready to do everything at once. So we started where the daily rhythm demanded it: the kitchen. We sprayed the cabinets, introduced an elegant bar and sideboard, added custom dining storage, and had two occasional chairs built for the living room. Every piece was chosen not for the moment but for the long view.

Twelve years later, they called again. Now retired. Now ready for the rest. And here is the part of this story that matters most to someone considering their own forever home: every single piece we placed in 2013 was still there. Still beautiful. Still working. The bar cabinet. The sideboard. The custom chairs. Twelve years of daily life, and nothing needed replacing — because nothing had been chosen carelessly in the first place.

Invest well, trust the process, and the pieces you choose today will still be earning their place a decade from now.

The second phase centred on the living room. The old layout wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t quite right either — a common frustration in condominiums where every square foot matters. We designed a custom sectional that transformed the space. It is generous enough for book club nights, perfectly oriented for television, and proportioned so the room breathes rather than feels stuffed. Beside it, a swivel chair upholstered in a luxurious acrylic-mohair blend that — by quiet intention — connects visually to the bar cabinet purchased a dozen years earlier.

Kind words

“Gaddah, you responded to the challenge of a mismatch between the carpet and two side chairs by raising the entire colour and texture scheme to a new level. I am agog. It is soooo beautiful! We love the new floors, all of the furnishings, and especially the button curtains in the kitchen.”

Every single piece we placed in 2013 was still there. Still beautiful. Still working. That is the difference between decorating and redecorating.

What makes the Kingsway Timeless remarkable is not any single element. It is the proof of a philosophy: invest well, trust the process, and the pieces you choose today will still be earning their place a decade from now. These clients did not need a full renovation. They did not need to gut and start fresh. They needed a decorator who understood that the best decorating builds on itself.

That is the difference between decorating and redecorating. And it is why, twelve years after phase one, phase two felt less like a project and more like a homecoming.
