There are bathrooms that play it safe, and there are bathrooms that commit. This is the latter.
The brief was clear from the start: a primary bathroom that felt considered, not cautious. The result — botanical mosaic tile, dark veined marble, an emerald green vanity with brass hardware, and black fixtures throughout — is a room where every decision supports the one next to it.
The mosaic tile was the centrepiece. A branch-like botanical pattern in the shower, set against dark marble slab on the adjacent wall. Two very different materials that share the same organic language. Neither competes. Both belong.
The emerald green vanity anchors the room on the other side — brass pulls, marble countertop, hexagonal mirror. A colour commitment that works because everything around it was chosen with equal intention.
This project was completed entirely virtually for a client in Athens, Georgia — a reminder that good design doesn't require proximity.

Yassein Interiors designed and supervised construction of a new bathroom in my house in Athens, Georgia. Not only did they come up with an “oh wow!” design, but all of this was done virtually during the pandemic. Communication was done via FaceTime. All materials were ordered in advance and delivered before construction started, and the entire construction process, from measurement, contract signing, and modifications were handled directly with the contractors. I had used Yassein Interiors on several previous houses, and I felt perfectly comfortable leaving the entire responsibility directly with Gaddah. Whenever there were issues or modifications, she spoke to the contractor directly, and I never had to run interference. I could not be happier with the result.
